Hob-nobs "Dahn da Strip" |
There was a welcome change at Primanti Bros. in the Strip District. No, they still placed the fries and cole slaw inside the cheesesteak. But, on Friday afternoon, the waitress set the sandwich in front of a new customer -- the First Lady of the United States, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
Clinton visited the restaurant for an informal roundtable discussion with a few invited guests, and a hoard of Secret Service agents and reporters. During the hour-long visit, she questioned her guests, all from the Pittsburgh area, about how certain issues affected their lives. Those issues included day care, family leave, juvenile crime, education and employment.
