We had home-field advantage. We had a 14-7 lead. What went wrong? Who's to blame? Dreams of the Super Bowl, flushed down the drain by the outcome of a single game... here's some highlights (or, lowlights):
- Kordell Stewart ties the score on a 33-yard run in the first quarter; but has several mistakes like throwing two interceptions in the end zone (one from the 5-yard line) as well as a loss of a fumble.
- Jerome "The Bus" Bettis ran for 105 yards on 23 carries, including a 1-yard score that put the Steelers ahead 14-7 in the second quarter.
- However, due to several turnovers, the 14-7 lead was crushed (orange-style) and turned into a 24-14 halftime deficit.
- The Steelers rally late, but the comeback falls short...
